SUCU Newsletter

Unite is happening again tomorrow night in Building 32/ Room 1015 at 19:30. Pete Bentley Taylor will be joining us as we look at James 3:1-18 and how faith changes our hearts and our mouths. There is also Pre-Unite Prayer happening at 19:00. This is a wonderful time for us to come together and prepare ourselves for an evening of worship and prayer with our heavenly Father.

Tomorrow is also an opportunity to hear about the ways we can support our CU financially. We have many exciting opportunities as a CU, but they all require funding. Nathan will be speaking to us about the many ways we can be supporting these events, so please come prepared to give.

Our Other Weekly Events

Whether you are a weekly regular or have never been before, we would love for you to come along and get involved.

Forum National

Do you want to see God’s love spread through our campus? Do you long for ways to be equipped in sharing the gospel? Are you excited by the many amazing things Christian students are doing on campuses all over the country? Well then have no fear, Forum National is here!

From 28th August – 1st September, over 1,000 CU members from all over the country will be gathering in Wales for a week of teaching, equipping, praying, learning, planning and fun! It is open to everybody in CU, and is an opportunity not to be missed! Please join the SUCU group here, and book on through UCCF here.

Freshers’ Week

This year is almost over, which means there is not long left until Freshers’ Week comes around! God has welcomed us with open arms, and we have the opportunity to welcome the new students to campus with the same attitude. We are all called to be lights to our campus, and one way we can do this is by volunteering to help during Freshers’ Week. Here is the link to sign up and help create some amazing events.

Another way we can support the new students is by signing up to be buddies. This gives you an amazing opportunity to get to know a Fresher, and help them settle into university, church and CU. Sign up here, or contact Chris Walker if you have any questions.

Mark Drama Information Evening

Another very exciting event happening during Freshers’ Week is the Mark Drama. This 90 minute performance of Mark’s Gospel is a very powerful way of reaching people with the gospel. We need people who are willing to act in this performance. If you are even a little bit interested, then head to 13/3017 after Unite tomorrow to find out more.
