SUCU Newsletter

Congratulations everybody for making it through a very busy term! It may be the final few days, but there is plenty going on to get excited about…

The final Discover event is happening tonight! Discover is a fantastic opportunity for those seeking Jesus to come and investigate and ask questions, and it is such a privilege for us to be able to host them. Come along with your friends to hear James Paterson speak on Freedom, and enjoy some free pizza! Join us at 19:30 in building 2/5033 or meet at the interchange to walk across.

SUCU Goes Home

While Easter is a restful time away from university, it can also be challenging to be away from the wonderful support we have in Southampton. For a time of guidance and prayer about going home this Easter, join us at SUCU Goes Home tonight, Building 34/ 1025 at 19:00, or message Caroline Taylor for more details.

Unite is on as usual in Building 32, Room 1015 from 19:30. Chris Evans is joining us as we ask the question “Why do we worship?”. Join us for an evening of prayer, sung worship, and hearing from God’s word. Pre-Unite Prayer will be outside the lecture theatre at 19:00.

Our Other Weekly Events

South East Forum

Forum SE continues! On the 28th April we will have the opportunity to gather together as a CU for a fantastic day of being equipped for God’s mission on campus, and growth in fellowship as a group. Forum SE is for everyone in CU; we are all called to be lights to our campus, and therefore are all in need of training and support. Click going on the event if you want to come, and we will let you know when sign up is released.

National Forum

If one day of training is just not enough, then come along to National Forum! From 28th August – 1st September 2018, CU’s from all across the country will be gathering in Wales for teaching from the Bible, training for our new CU roles, and loads of fun. The early bird discount allows you £15 off but book before the 31st March to benefit! Here is the link to book.

 Science Network

Are you a science student? Do you want to hear more about how your faith influences your studies? Then get involved with the Science Network! There is an information meeting on Thursday 19th April on campus, or message Sarah Williams for more details.
